Pulsar Turbo CHRA & Bearing Kits guide
Pulsar’s CHRA and bearing section is mostly rebuild kits: the bearings, seals and thrust parts, and in many cases a new compressor wheel. The kits are for bringing a turbo back to specification or upgrading it while it is apart.
The kits fall into groups. For Pulsar’s own ball-bearing turbos there is a bearing rebuild kit covering the Gen1 and Gen2 models from 2860 to 3584, and DIY upgrade kits for the PTX35 and PTX38. For factory diesel turbos there are rebuild kits, many with a billet compressor wheel and a 360-degree thrust bearing in place of the original parts. For side-by-side off-road vehicles the rebuild parts are sold one by one: compressor wheel, turbine wheel, actuator or bearing kit.
Each title names the turbo or engine the kit is for, and the details list the contents and the wheel dimensions. Check the inducer, exducer and bore against your turbo before ordering.
A rebuilt turbo needs clean oil. Renew the oil feed line and any filter in it, flush the drain, and prime the bearings with oil before the first start. Then let the engine idle for a minute before loading it.
