Mishimoto Shift Knobs

Mishimoto’s shift knobs are mostly universal, so the choice is shape, weight and finish, and then the adapter that fits your lever. The weighted knobs form the heart of the range, in a wide spread of colours and in an XL size, several with a knurled grip. Beyond those are teardrop, pistol-grip and carbon fibre knobs, and wooden knobs in beech or walnut with a steel core, in short or tall heights.

Weight changes the feel. A heavier knob carries more momentum through the gate, which many drivers like with a short-throw shifter, while a light knob passes on more of what the gearbox is doing.

The fitting parts are listed separately: thread adapters (including an XL set and a kit), a non-threaded shifter adapter, shift boot retainers for M12 × 1.25 levers, reverse lockout adapters, a six-inch extender and a universal boot cover. Check your lever’s thread and whether it has a reverse lockout collar before choosing a knob.

Nothing here is tied to a vehicle, which suits a universal part. Measure the lever’s height before ordering a tall knob or the extender.
