Mishimoto Electric Cooling Fans

Mishimoto Electric Cooling Fans guide

Mishimoto’s cooling fan listing is split between universal electric fans with the controls to run them, and vehicle-specific aluminium fan shroud kits, which make up the larger share.

The universal fans are 12-volt units sized by diameter, from a 6-inch slim fan up to 16 inches, in standard, curved-blade and Race Line high-flow designs. Pick the largest diameter the radiator core will take without the blades overhanging it, and check the depth between radiator and engine; the slim fan is for the tightest spaces. A fan mount kit attaches a fan to the core.

A universal fan needs a way to switch it on. The adjustable fan controller kits come with either a 1/8 NPT sensor or a push-in probe that sits between the radiator fins. The pulse width modulation controller varies the fan speed rather than simply switching it on and off. A fan switch is listed too.

The shroud kits are made for particular radiators and name the model in the title; some include a controller.

Wire any fan through a relay and a fuse sized for its current draw.
