Mishimoto Cold Air Intakes

Mishimoto’s intakes are model-specific kits, each titled with its application and a part number beginning MMAI. The range mixes complete performance intakes and air intake kits with narrower upgrades: inlet pipes that replace the factory pipe on the turbo side, and an open-airbox intake for one application.

Finish is part of the choice. Many kits come in more than one colour, typically black or wrinkle black, polished, red and, for some, blue. Each colour has its own part number, so the suffix tells you which one you are ordering. The product details also give the weight, a quick way to tell a complete intake from a pipe-only upgrade.

A new intake changes the air path to the air mass sensor. Handle the sensor carefully when moving it across, keep its element clean, and make sure any breather and vacuum hoses are reconnected to the new pipework before the first start.
