Mishimoto Catch Tanks & Reservoirs

Mishimoto’s catch cans sit in the crankcase breather line and collect the oil mist that would otherwise reach the intake. Most are baffled inside to separate the oil from the vapour, and they are either vehicle-specific or universal. Vehicle-specific kits suit one engine and name the application in the title; on some engines they are for the PCV side of the breather system and on others the CCV side. Universal cans suit your own layout, from compact 2-port and 3-port baffled cans in black, red or polished finishes to large, XL and parallel-port versions and a carbon fibre can.

The small parts are listed too: fittings with an M20x1.5 thread for 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4 in hose, a petcock drain kit, replacement brackets in black or blue, and catch-can hose.

With a universal can, the port count decides the plumbing: 2 ports take one breather line in and one out, while a 3-port can accepts more than one breather feed. Mount the can below the breather outlet where possible, and empty it often, especially in cold weather, when water condenses with the oil.
