ACT Clutch Components
320 products
ACT’s clutch components are the parts around the disc: pressure plates, twin-disc assemblies and the pieces needed to fit them. Pressure plates are the largest group, and the name gives the clamp-load grade. Heavy Duty is the most common, and ACT recommends it with a street or a race disc. Xtreme, MaXX Xtreme and MaXXX Xtreme plates follow, with the MaXX Xtreme recommended for race discs only. Plates marked P/PL-M use ACT’s Monoloc collar for pull-type clutches.
Mod-Twin units are complete twin-disc assemblies in 225 mm and 10.5-inch sizes, coded HD, XT or XX, with a sprung or rigid hub. ACT describes the street versions with organic friction plates and the race versions with ceramic pucks, and supplies a flywheel with them.
The fitting parts are clutch alignment tools, pilot bearings and bushings, and Monoloc collars, which replace the two-piece collar and wire ring of some pull-type clutches.
Parts are listed mainly for Mazda, Mitsubishi, Honda, Ford, Nissan and Toyota. ACT rates pedal effort as light to moderate for Heavy Duty and heavy to very heavy for MaXX Xtreme, so check the clutch hydraulics. Renew the pilot and release bearings whenever the gearbox comes out.
