QSP Intake Pipes

QSP’s intake parts are materials for building an induction system to your own layout rather than kits for one car. The core is straight aluminium tube: 1 m lengths in the small bores from 8 to 45 mm, and 50 cm lengths in the intake sizes from 51 to 102 mm. The 50 cm tubes come in silver or black. The product data gives the alloy as 6061 with a 1.5 mm wall on much of the range.

For the open end of a pipe there are aluminium air inlets from 51 to 102 mm and mesh inlet guards in the same sizes, again in silver or black. QSP also lists shrink socks that slip over an air hose.

Choose the tube by its outside diameter so that it matches the silicone couplers or hose you plan to use, and allow extra length for cutting to size. If the tube is going to carry boost, have a bead rolled on each end before the couplers and clamps go on, so the joints cannot slide apart.
