QSP AN Hose Adapters (Straight)

QSP AN Hose Adapters (Straight) guide

QSP’s straight AN adapters are the pieces that finish a hose or hard line with an AN fitting. For braided and rubber hose there are two-part hose ends, a socket and an adapter, in standard and lightweight versions, with separate sockets and adapters for hose with a PTFE liner. Push-on adapters suit push-lock hose, and Kevlar hose has its own adapters and spare olives.

For hard lines there are aluminium tube adapters, tube nuts and sleeves for 7.94, 9.5, 12.7 and 15.9 mm tube. Shrink-hose adapters and hose pillars step between AN or metric threads and other connections.

Sizes run from AN3 to AN20, with AN6, AN8 and AN10 the most common. Most parts are aluminium in several anodised colours, among them the traditional blue and red; a few are stainless steel. The socket and the adapter must be for the same hose type and size, since PTFE, rubber and push-lock hose each use a different design.

Assemble hose ends with a light oil on the threads, use soft jaws in the vice to protect the finish, and pressure-test a fuel line before the first start.
