H&R Suspension Kits

    264 products

H&R’s suspension kits are Cup Kits: H&R lowering springs sold with dampers matched to them. They come in Comfort and Sport grades, and the part number shows which is which, as Comfort kits are numbered from 4 and Sport kits from 3.

Comfort is the larger group and, in H&R’s description, favours comfort on everyday roads, while Sport is the firmer grade and puts body control first. Choose Comfort for a car that covers long road miles and Sport for one that also sees track days.

The titles carry the details that decide fit. Many give a front axle load range, such as ‘up to 929 kg’ or ‘from 1011 kg’, to check against the maximum axle load on the car’s registration document or VIN plate. Others give 2WD or 4WD, the number of cylinders, or a note such as ‘ohne DCC’, meaning for cars without adaptive dampers.

The product data lists the approval supplied with each kit, a TÜV certificate or an ABE. Volkswagen has the most kits listed, followed by Audi, BMW and Seat, then Mercedes-Benz, Skoda and Opel; Fiat, Peugeot and Ford have a few each. Once the springs have bedded in, the alignment needs setting.
