H&R Lift Kits

H&R’s lift kits are Performance Lift Springs, sets of raised springs that work with the car’s existing dampers. There is no height adjustment: each spring set gives its own fixed lift. Every set carries an approval, mostly a TÜV certificate and otherwise a part type approval. Either is worth having if the car is inspected after the change.

Kia leads the fitment list, followed by Ford and Dacia, and Subaru, Volkswagen, Skoda, Hyundai, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and Jeep are also covered. SUVs and pick-ups such as the Dacia Duster (the latest generation included), the Ford Ranger and Kuga and the Kia Sorento are listed. Road cars have sets too: the Subaru XV, the Skoda Octavia III estate and the Volkswagen Golf VI. Some kits are split by two- or four-wheel drive.

Because the springs keep the original dampers, check that those dampers are in good order before fitting, and have the alignment checked after the springs have settled. Lifting the body also raises the centre of gravity, so expect a little more body roll than before.
