QSP Fabrication Hardware (Misc)

    37 products

QSP’s fabrication hardware is the small supplies a car builder keeps on the bench. Steel gussets make up the largest group, all for welding into tube and bracket joints. The group covers closed gussets at 30°, 45°, 60° and 90°, curved gussets at the same angles plus a straight version, a gusset support and a 500 x 75 x 1 mm reinforcement plate.

Alongside them sit sealing and taping supplies. Viton O-rings from 7.5 x 1.6 mm to 29.5 x 3.0 mm are listed for fuel use. Tank tape comes in 50 m x 50 mm rolls and silicone tape in 3 m x 25 mm rolls, each in a choice of colours. Anti-slip tape comes in 2 m and 5 m lengths. The list ends with self-adhesive hook-and-loop strips (top and bottom sold separately), a tonneau pin screw and a 19 mm nylon T-piece.

Choose a gusset by the angle of the joint and trim it to fit before tacking it in place. For an O-ring, measure both the inside diameter and the cross-section of the old ring. Clean and degrease any surface before welding a gusset or applying tape, so that the weld is sound and the adhesive holds.
