Haltech Engine Sensors

Haltech’s engine sensors cover the inputs an engine management system or data logger reads, and many motorsport sensors come with their plug and pins, while plug-and-pin kits are listed for others.

MAP sensors run from 1 bar to 7 bar; choose one whose range covers your highest boost, since a wider range reads with less resolution. Fuel, oil, wastegate and brake pressure sensors run from 145 PSI to 4,000 PSI. Haltech’s motorsport pressure sensors, with a stainless steel diaphragm, must be mounted remotely on a hose rather than screwed into the engine, for which an extension kit is listed. Air, coolant and oil temperature sensors come in small and large threads, with weld-in fittings for pipework without a port.

Position sensors include contactless and conventional throttle position sensors, linear sensors with 50 mm to 250 mm of travel and split-collar mounts for measuring suspension movement, and a laser ride-height sensor. Hall-effect speed sensors, driveshaft magnet collars, a knock sensor and a flex fuel sensor complete the engine side, with Bosch and NTK wideband oxygen sensors and single- and dual-channel CAN wideband controllers.
