Haltech Plugs & Pins

Haltech’s plugs and pins are the connector parts for a Haltech wiring job, whether the loom is new or being repaired. Each listing covers one connector family, and the title says whether you get the plug with its pins, the pins only, or a pin set for a range of connectors. The families include AMP Superseal and keyed AMP ECU connectors, TYCO connectors, Deutsch DT and DTM plugs with their male and female pins, Bosch Junior Timer plugs, Metri-Pack and heavy-current Surlok connectors. Other plugs are made for particular injectors and factory crank and cam sensors.

Match the connector to the part it plugs into: count the pins and note the key position on the mating half. Then compare the current rating, such as 7.5 A for the DTM sets, with the load it will carry. Where only pins are listed, they are for repairing or extending a connector you already have.

Crimp each pin with the tool made for that terminal family, test it with a firm pull before inserting it, and fit the seals and the locking wedge so the connector stays sealed. Keep spare pins to hand, since a damaged pin is simpler to replace than to straighten.
