EBC Brake Lines

EBC’s brake lines are braided stainless steel hoses with a PTFE inner tube, made to replace a car’s rubber brake hoses like for like. EBC describes the fittings as grade 303 stainless steel, while the product data records the kits as TÜV approved.

Almost every kit covers the whole car, front and rear, and a very few are front-only. Because every kit is specific to one model, there is no grade to choose between: find the kit for your car. Then check the listing against the brakes fitted, since a car with larger optional brakes may use different hoses.

Kits are listed most often for Audi, Ford and BMW, then Honda, Porsche and Volkswagen, with Toyota, Alfa Romeo, Volvo, Seat and Nissan among the rest. A little over half the kits carry vehicle fitment; for the others, the product details give the application.

Braided lines are usually fitted with pads and discs rather than on their own. The job opens the hydraulic system, so bleed the brakes with fresh fluid of the grade the car specifies, and inspect each union for weeping before driving.
