EBC Brake Calipers

EBC’s calipers here are the Apollo range, sold one caliper at a time. The Apollo-4 is a four-piston caliper with 38.1 and 41.2 mm pistons, and the Apollo-6 a six-piston caliper with 28.6, 31.8 and 38.1 mm pistons, both in aluminium. Each is listed as leading or trailing, meaning mounted ahead of or behind the hub, and as left or right, so an axle needs a matched pair of the same position.

The standard calipers come in red, blue, yellow or black. The Apollo-4R and the Apollo-6 Race have a hard-anodised finish, which EBC recommends for track or competition use only. EBC also notes that the Apollo calipers share a common pad shape, which comes in several of its race compounds. Seal kits, pistons, pad springs and bleed nipples are listed as spare parts. Where the product data gives it, the Apollo-4 takes a disc of up to 355 mm diameter and 28 mm thickness.

These calipers are not listed for particular cars, so plan the mounting brackets, disc size, brake hoses and master cylinder together, and check the wheel clearance before ordering.
