Simons Straight Pipes
34 products
Simons lists two quite different parts under straight pipes. The first is plain straight tube, sold in 0.5-metre and 1-metre lengths from 38 mm (1.5 inch) to 101.6 mm (4 inch) in diameter, in mild steel or stainless steel. It is the raw material for a custom system or a repair: cut to length, and join with sleeves, flanges or bends of the same size.
The second is the racepipe, a model-specific stainless pipe that takes the place of a silencer. Its title identifies the car by model, body and years, and the product details give the pipe diameter and state that the racepipes have no EC type approval.
For straight tube, choose the diameter to match the rest of the exhaust and the material to match the parts it joins; a 1-metre length allows more than one cut. For a racepipe, check the title against your own car before ordering.
Removing a silencer makes an exhaust louder, so check the noise limit at the circuits you plan to use, and budget for new clamps or gaskets at each joint the racepipe replaces.
