QSP AN Bulkhead & Fittings guide
QSP’s bulkhead fittings take an AN line through a panel, such as a firewall, boot floor or fuel cell box. A locknut holds them there, so the line on each side can be removed without disturbing the other. They are listed in aluminium, straight or at 90 degrees, from AN3 to AN16, and in stainless steel, straight or at 45 or 90 degrees, mostly in black.
Alongside them are fittings that fill gaps in a system. Aluminium 90-degree coupling pieces and connectors have female NPT threads from 1/8 inch to 1 inch. Tube sleeves let an AN nut seal on rigid tube such as hard fuel line. The rubber push-lock hose is the hose that push-on fittings are made for, listed by AN size with its inside diameter in the title. A 90-degree push-on hose adapter joins it to an AN fitting.
To choose a bulkhead, measure the panel thickness, allow for the locknut and a sealing washer, and pick the angle that points the line the right way on each side. Drill the panel to suit the bulkhead body, deburr the hole, and seal it if the panel separates the cabin from the engine or fuel system.
