Girodisc
Girodisc is an American maker of two-piece floating brake discs, and those discs make up most of its range here. Each disc pairs an aluminium hat with a separate iron friction ring joined by floating bobbins. Both complete assemblies and replacement rings are listed, so a worn ring can be renewed without buying a new hat. The rings are curved-slot, vented and sold as left or right parts.
Around the discs sit caliper rebuild and dust boot kits, drive pin and caliper stud kits, titanium backing plates and GP-series pads. GP10 is listed as a sport pad, and GP30, GP35 and GP40 as race compounds.
The listings concentrate on high-performance cars. Porsche leads, with the 911 from the 996 to the 992, the Cayman and the Boxster. Chevrolet, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Mercedes-Benz follow, with Ford, BMW, McLaren and Subaru among the others.
Most disc ranges on TrackToolFactory are one-piece. Girodisc is the main source here for a two-piece floating disc sold to replace the existing disc, rather than as part of a big brake kit.

Description
TS-1029-8 – GiroDisc Titanium Backing Plate Kit This Titanium backing plate kit consist of 8 plates, that help to prevent brake fluid from boiling. Titanium as a material, has low thermal conductivity. This means that it is very bad at transferring heat.
When a thin titanium shim placed between the pad back and the pistons, the braking heat is kept from transferring into the pistons and fluid. For cars that are going to see hard or multiple track days, these shims are a good protection from loosing the pedal pressure due to boiling brake fluid. Water jet cut to exact size, no cutting or grinding involved.
