Turbosmart V-Band Connectors & Clamps

Turbosmart’s V-band parts here are made to fit its own wastegates and turbochargers rather than to join exhaust pipe in general. The largest group is inlet and outlet V-bands for the Gen4 external wastegates in the WG40, WG45 and WG60 sizes. The maker describes these V-bands as cast, with a fine-thread bolt and nut. They do not suit the GenV wastegates, which have their own WG40, WG45 and WG50 V-bands and a pack of replacement nuts. A stainless clamshell-type clamp set, listed as a coupling system, suits the Gen4 WG45.

For TS-1 turbochargers there are V-band clamps for the compressor cover and for turbine connections from 2.25 to 4.5 in. Weld flanges for the turbine inlet and outlet come in frame sizes 2 and 3. A V-band coupling kit with a quick-release clamp (3.5 in) completes the list.

Start from the wastegate generation or the turbo frame, then the diameter; Turbosmart advises measuring the flange diameter before ordering.
