ST Suspension Kits
421 products
ST’s suspension kits combine lowering springs with matched dampers, and their titles list engines rather than models. A title such as ‘1.8TFSi, 2.0TFSi, 2.0TDi’ names the engines the kit is made for, and the model comes from the vehicle listing.
Matching a kit is therefore a step-by-step check. Find the model in the listing, confirm that your engine appears in the title, then read the rest of the title. Where relevant, it adds the gearbox (DSG or automatic) and the diameter of the front strut, most often 50 mm or 55 mm and sometimes 45 mm or 51 mm. Some Volkswagen Group models were built with either of the common strut sizes, depending on engine and axle, so measure the strut or check the build data before ordering.
ST kits are listed chiefly for Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Seat. Skoda and Opel follow, and Chrysler, Honda, Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Peugeot each have a small number.
A kit is the simplest way to lower a car on dampers built for the shorter springs. After fitting, have the wheels aligned and check the headlamp aim, which moves when the body drops.
