Ferodo
Ferodo was founded in 1897 in Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire. Its range here is performance brake pads, with DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluid in sizes from 250 ml to 5 litres.
Every Ferodo pad listed is a semi-metallic compound, and the DS family is easy to read from the product data. DS Performance is the street pad, DS2500 the sport pad, and DS3000, DS1.11, DS UNO and DS3.12 are listed as race compounds. Some race pads are also offered thermally bedded, as marked in the title.
Among the makes listed, Audi, BMW and Porsche lead, ahead of Volkswagen, Ford, Alfa Romeo, Honda, Nissan, Ferrari and Toyota. Models with many Ferodo listings include the Subaru Impreza (GD and GH), Toyota GT86 (ZN6) and GR86 (ZN8), Mitsubishi Lancer and the BMW M2, M3 and M4 of the F8x generation.
Compared with the other pad brands here, Ferodo's range sits further towards the track. There is no organic or ceramic road pad, most of its lines are race compounds, and DS2500 is the step between road and race.

Description
FER-FCP578R – Ferodo DS3000 Brake Pads; Rear DS3000 has been Ferodo’s most popular racing compound that has set the braking standard from race one back in 1998. The DS3000 offers high initial bite with excellent feel and release. Popular among rally, touring car and GT championship teams, the DS3000 has a relatively low cold temperature threshold while still offering high temp stability for tarmac. DS3000 is very easy on discs at the expense of pad wear.
