DBA, Disc Brakes Australia, was founded in Sydney in 1976. Its range here is mostly brake discs, with pads to match and a few Street Series calipers.
The discs are grouped by series and slot pattern. Street Series T2 and 4000 Series T3 discs make up most of the range, and 5000 Series two-piece discs are listed along with their replacement rings. Most DBA discs here have a bi-slotted face, some also cross-drilled and a few plain. Many use the Kangaroo Paw internal vane design, and a large share are listed as ECE R90 approved. The pads step up from Street Series (an OE-type ceramic) and Street Performance to Xtreme Performance (a semi-metallic carbon fibre sport pad) and Racing Performance.

DBA4650 – 4000 Series HD Brake Rotor; Front DBA 4000 Series HD Brake Rotors are forged from high carbon alloyed iron and subjected to Thermal Stability Profiling, DBA’s metallurgy ensures resilience against the heightened stress and heat generated during intense braking applications, delivering consistent performance and them more suitable for more aggressive driving or high-performance applications than DBA’s Street Series brake rotors.
Additionally, a large range of DBA’s 4000 Series Brake Rotors feature DBA’s Kangaroo Paw ventilation system, incorporating a series of 144 diamond and teardrop-patterned pillars, that achieve an impressive 30% increase in surface area and a 20% improvement in cooling efficiency compared to traditional straight vane designs.
All 4000 Series Brake rotors feature Thermographic heat paint markings that change colour at specific temperature thresholds to assist with the monitoring of braking temperatures and rotor fatigue. DBA 4000 Series HD Brake Rotors showcase a sleek OE-style rotor finish, catering to drivers seeking the advantages of a 4000 Series rotor while desiring an OE-style appearance, including controlled race divisions.
