Bilstein
Bilstein's range here is suspension from standard replacement upwards, organised by the maker's B numbers. B4 OE Replacement dampers are the largest group, B6 Performance and B8 Performance Plus are the sportier dampers, and B3 OE Replacement springs cover the spring side at original height. B12 Pro-Kit and Sportline kits pair dampers with lowering springs. The coilovers run through B14 PSS, B16 PSS9 and PSS10 and the EVO S, SE, T1, T2 and R lines, some adjustable for height and damping. DampMatic self-adjusting dampers, DampTronic electronic versions and steering dampers complete the range.
The range is listed for a wide spread of cars, led by BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz, followed by Ford, Volkswagen, Opel, Citroën and Renault. The BMW 3 Series (E36, E46 and E90), Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W205) are among the models with the most listings.
Elsewhere in the Shock Absorbers section you will find rebound-adjustable dampers. Bilstein's dampers are mostly non-adjustable gas-pressure units, so the choice is made by picking the line, from OE replacement to performance, rather than by turning an adjuster.

Description
Bilstein B8 Performance Plus shock absorber for the Alpina B3 (E36) 1993–1995, Front axle.
Shortened monotube damper developed for vehicles lowered on sport springs. The reduced body length keeps correct travel and bump-stop clearance at the lower ride height, where a standard-length damper would run short of stroke and wear prematurely.
Position: Front · Adjustability: Non-adjustable · Part number: 35-044031
Also fits: Alpina B3 Cabriolet (E36) 1993–1996; Alpina B3 Touring (E36) 1993–1996; Alpina B6 (E36) 1992–1993; Alpina B8 (E36) 1995–1998; Alpina B8 Cabriolet (E36) 1995–1998; Alpina B8 Coupe (E36) 1995–1998; Alpina B8 Touring (E36) 1995–1998
