Hawk Brake Pads

    1,727 products

Hawk’s pads divide almost evenly between street and race compounds, with a smaller sport group between them. Nearly all are semi-metallic; the exception is PC, the ceramic street pad.

The part number tells you exactly what you are buying. The letter before the point identifies the compound, for example F for HPS, B for HPS 5.0, N for HP Plus and Z for PC. G, W and U stand for DTC-60, DTC-30 and DTC-70. The three digits after the point give the pad thickness in thousandths of an inch, and they match the millimetre thickness in the product data. The product details also give an operating temperature range for each compound, the clearest way to compare the race pads.

Alongside HPS and HPS 5.0, the street group includes LTS and SuperDuty, and the race group runs from DTC-30 to DTC-80 with Blue 9012, Black, ER-1, HT-10 and DR-97. A few pads are also listed by racing caliper model.

Chevrolet, Ford, BMW and Porsche have the most car listings. Plan front and rear pads together, because a race compound on one axle alone shifts the brake balance.
