EBC Brakes was founded in 1978 in the United Kingdom and has grown into one of the world's largest manufacturers of aftermarket brake pads and rotors. With manufacturing facilities in the UK and USA, EBC supplies brake components for motorcycles, cars, and light trucks across road, track day, and motorsport applications.
Their performance pad range is organised by compound colour and intended use: Greenstuff for everyday road driving, Redstuff for performance road use, Yellowstuff for fast road and light track use, and Bluestuff NDX for dedicated track day and circuit driving. For more demanding motorsport use, the Orangestuff and RP-X compounds offer higher temperature thresholds and consistent bite under sustained abuse.

Description
EBC Racing’s RP‑1 compound is an ultra‑high performance track and race pad designed for high performance vehicles driven hard on track. Designed for vehicles driven hard on track, RP-1 possesses a moderately high friction level of 0.45 between 100 – 750°C. The more progressive response characteristic of RP-1 makes it well suited for inherently ‘over-servoed’ vehicles where a softer pad material is desirable to allow greater finesse when on the brakes. The RP-1 pads provide superb modulation giving unprecedented control and feel, come thermally-bedded, eliminating “early life” fade and have an extremely low wear rate making them a true “plug and play” track pad.
