Jack Accessories guide

Jack accessories make lifting a competition car quicker and safer, in the service park or out on a stage. The range has a hydraulic jack and brackets to carry it, a sill stand for service work, and a weld-on set giving the shell fixed support points.

Rally and race cars are lifted often, in a hurry and on uneven ground. The support set has four anchor tubes, 30 mm in diameter and 250 mm long, with four weld-on plates drilled to take them. Welded into the sills, they give solid, repeatable points for stands, without crushing the sill seam the way a jack pad can.

Choose by how the car is serviced:

  • Weld-on support set: for cars whose shell can be modified, to carry sill stands at height.
  • Sill stand: a service stand for rally and race cars that takes the car’s weight at the sill.
  • Hydraulic jack and brackets: the jack can ride in the car on a roll bar bracket or a horizontal bracket, ready for a wheel change.

Weld the plates and tubes into sound, rust-free sill metal and protect the area against corrosion afterwards. Check your class rules before welding into the shell. Anything carried in the car must be fixed so it cannot move in a crash, so mount the jack bracket securely and check it at every pre-event inspection. Never work under a car held only by a jack; lower it onto stands first.
