Simons Exhaust Flanges & Gaskets

Simons’ flanges and gaskets are the joining parts of its universal exhaust range, sized to the same pipe diameters as its bends and silencers. They run from 57 mm to 89 mm, in mild or stainless steel.

Two-hole and three-hole flanges are the bolted joints, and the titles say which include a gasket and which come with a sleeve already attached to take the pipe. Spacer sleeves slide over a pipe to join two lengths, and triple-step reducers cover several pipe sizes in one part. Compensators, dB limiters and an X-pipe are also filed here, together with half-metre and one-metre lengths of straight exhaust pipe.

Pick the size from the pipe and the material from the system around it. Mild steel is simpler to work with, stainless steel resists road salt and water for longer, and joining the two needs care. A flanged joint is the natural place to split an exhaust, so put one wherever the system must come apart for service.

Fit a new gasket whenever a flange is opened, and use new nuts and bolts rather than old, corroded ones.
