Eibach Suspension Springs

Eibach’s springs in this category all belong to the ERL Replacement Line: coil springs made to the original height and rate, for cars whose springs have settled or broken. They are replacement springs, not lowering springs, and they work with standard-length dampers.

Springs are listed per axle, front or rear, and the title gives only the wire diameter, from 7.75 mm to 21.5 mm. That figure is a useful cross-check when a model has more than one spring listed, because the wire of the spring on the car can be measured and compared. The listing itself carries the model, body style and axle, with the Eibach part number.

Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes-Benz account for the most springs, then Skoda, BMW, Seat and Opel, and Ford, Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat and Volvo are also well represented.

Change springs as axle pairs, so the car sits level from side to side. With the strut or spring out, check the top mounts, spring seats and damper at the same time, and book an alignment check once the car has settled.
