Porsche Boxster 987 Brake System

The 987 Boxster is listed in 2.7, 2.9, S and Spyder form. Its brake discs differ by engine only at the front, where the 2.7 has a 298 mm disc and the other models a 318 mm one. Every version shares a 299 mm rear disc.

Pads are the heart of the Boxster list, and many are race compounds. From Hawk, the road choices are HPS, HPS 5.0 and the ceramic PC, and the sport choice is HP Plus. Hawk’s circuit choices run from DTC-60 up to DTC-80, with ER-1 and Blue 9012 alongside. EBC runs from Redstuff and Yellowstuff to Orangestuff, RP-1 and RP-X.

Discs for the Boxster come as cross-drilled EBC discs, bi-slotted DBA 4000 Series T3 and Street Series T2 discs, and Girodisc’s two-piece floating assemblies. Pagid’s RSL and RST racing pads, several listed for either axle, and Ferodo’s DS range complete the picture.
