Hawk
Hawk Performance is an American brake pad maker based in Solon, Ohio. Its range here is mainly pads, with Talon slotted and slotted-and-drilled discs and race and all-purpose brake fluid alongside.
The pads divide cleanly by use. HPS, HPS 5.0 and LTS are semi-metallic street pads and PC is the ceramic street option, while HP Plus is listed as a sport pad. The race side takes in the DTC-30, DTC-60, DTC-70 and DTC-80 compounds together with ER-1, HT-10, Blue 9012 and Black.
The listings lean further towards American and Japanese performance cars than the other pad brands here. Chevrolet and Ford lead, with BMW, Porsche, Mazda, Toyota, Subaru and Cadillac close behind. The Chevrolet Corvette (C6), Subaru Impreza, Porsche Boxster and Cayman (987), Toyota GT86 and Ford Mustang (S550) have the most listings.
A large part of the Hawk range is race compounds, so the same maker can supply a road pad for everyday driving and a dedicated track pad for events.

Description
The ER-1 compound has been developed by Hawk Performance for the endurance racing market with a simple goal; to offer a higher coefficient of friction than competing endurance pads while maintaining matched or improved lifespan. Years of testing across America’s most prestigious races has resulted in a well-rounded compound that offers ideal modulation and pedal communication, with ground breaking friction stability across the thermal range. This consistency of performance, hour after hour, makes it ideal for not only endurance racing, but also track days, time trials and even sprint racing.
Operating temperatures: 200-870°C
Optimal temperature range: 370-590°C
