QSP Catch Tanks & Reservoirs

QSP’s tanks here are aluminium catch tanks for oil and fuel, with the fittings sold separately so you can plumb them to suit. Oil catch tanks come in 0.5, 1 and 2 litre sizes, some with a -10 (D10) connection already in place, and a breather cap is listed to go on top. Petrol catch tanks run from 1 to 4 litres, mostly with -8 (D08) connections and one with 3/8 NPT ports, and there are 1 litre tanks for the petrol injection pump circuit.

To connect a tank there are tank connections in AN6, AN8, AN10 and AN12, rollover valves in AN6 and AN8 for the vent line, and a spare shut-off O-ring. Many tanks are listed with their length, width and height, which helps when space is tight, and several come in a choice of colours.

Choose the size by the job. An oil breather tank only has to hold what the engine breathes out between checks, while a fuel collector, or swirl pot, has to hold enough to keep the pump fed through long corners. Vent any fuel tank through a rollover valve.
