Ajusa Turbo Manifolds

Ajusa’s range in this category is turbo gasket sets rather than manifolds: the gaskets needed to remove and refit a turbocharger, each set made for one engine. The title gives the engine’s maker, capacity, valve count and code, for example ‘Subaru 2.0L 16v – EJ20’ or ‘Toyota 2.0L 16v – 3S-GTE’, and that code is the thing to check.

The engines covered are turbocharged petrol units, mostly with four or five cylinders and a few straight sixes. Some engines have more than one set, for different versions such as eight-valve and sixteen-valve heads or a later generation of the same engine, so read the whole title.

Some Subaru, Nissan and Toyota sets are also linked to vehicles. For the rest, match the engine code to the one on the engine or in the car’s documents rather than going by the model name. The same model was often sold with several engines.

A gasket set is the minimum for a turbo change. While the turbo is off, check the manifold studs and nuts, replace oil feed and drain lines that are hardened or kinked, and prime the turbo with oil before the first start.
