K&N was founded in 1969 in Riverside, California, by Ken Johnson and Norm McDonald, the K and the N of the name. Its filters use washable, reusable oiled cotton gauze, cleaned and re-oiled with a service kit rather than thrown away, and the range here is built on them.
It covers replacement panel filters, complete Performance Air Intake Systems, universal clamp-on, round and conical filters, cabin air filters, crankcase breather filters, carburettor filters and fuel filters. The cleaning and oiling kits, foam wraps, top plates and clips that go with them are listed too.

Description
The RF-1047 Universal Air Filter is constructed from an oiled cotton filter media. It comes with a K&N embossed carbon fiber top for strength and durability. The carbon fiber element adds to the light-weight design and gives this filter a smooth glass like finish. The RP-1047 is a clamp-on filter that has an inside flange diameter of 3 inches and a flange length of 1-3/4 inches. The base diameter and filter length are 6 inches.
