K&N Filter
K&N was founded in 1969 in Riverside, California, by Ken Johnson and Norm McDonald, the K and the N of the name. Its filters use washable, reusable oiled cotton gauze, cleaned and re-oiled with a service kit rather than thrown away, and the range here is built on them.
It covers replacement panel filters, complete Performance Air Intake Systems, universal clamp-on, round and conical filters, cabin air filters, crankcase breather filters, carburettor filters and fuel filters. The cleaning and oiling kits, foam wraps, top plates and clips that go with them are listed too.
K&N parts are listed by part number and filter type rather than by car. If you are replacing a K&N filter, its part number is the quickest route; for a universal filter, work from the neck diameter and the space available.
Among the intake brands on TrackToolFactory, K&N has the broadest mix of filter types, from engine and cabin air to breathers, carburettors and fuel. If you prefer a filter that is washed without oil, another panel filter range here uses dry synthetic media.

Description
The K&N 69-7070TP Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit some Nissan 300Z 3.5 Liter V6 models. The restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing are replaced by the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake which is designed to pull in relatively cooler air and dramatically reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of denser air than the factory air intake. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The 69-7070TP cold-air intake consists of a roto-molded plastic intake scoop that mounts behind the 350Z's front fascia directing cooler outside air through free-flowing aluminum tubing into the K&N carbon fiber topped air box. Inside the air box is a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter connecting to a mandrel-bent, 3" aluminum induction tube that delivers high volumes of clean, colder air into the engine's throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The intake tubes have an attractive silver powder-coat finish that's made to last. The cold-air intake system accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. The tools needed for installation are a screwdriver, pliers, ratchet set and several wrenches. ach vehicle and air intake.
