Founded in 1986 by Steve Mitchell in a Sydney workshop, Haltech engineered the first real-time PC-programmable engine management system and continues to design and manufacture every ECU at its Australian headquarters. The Elite series spans the 550, 750, 1500 and 2500 standalone units for four through twelve-cylinder and rotary applications, while the flagship Nexus R5 VCU integrates ECU, power distribution and CAN keypad control on a single platform and is approved for NHRA Pro Mod, Alcohol and Factory Stock Showdown classes.
