DBA
DBA, Disc Brakes Australia, was founded in Sydney in 1976. Its range here is mostly brake discs, with pads to match and a few Street Series calipers.
The discs are grouped by series and slot pattern. Street Series T2 and 4000 Series T3 discs make up most of the range, and 5000 Series two-piece discs are listed along with their replacement rings. Most DBA discs here have a bi-slotted face, some also cross-drilled and a few plain. Many use the Kangaroo Paw internal vane design, and a large share are listed as ECE R90 approved. The pads step up from Street Series (an OE-type ceramic) and Street Performance to Xtreme Performance (a semi-metallic carbon fibre sport pad) and Racing Performance.
Toyota has the most listings, followed by Audi, Volkswagen, Subaru, Nissan, Ford, BMW and Lexus. The Subaru Impreza, Audi TT and A3, Volkswagen Golf and Seat Leon feature most often.

DBA5003.1SR – 5000 Series HD Replacement Ring; Front The 5000 Series HD replacement rings from DBA are designed for enthusiasts and professionals alike, they boast a host of features that set them apart. Crafted from premium materials and utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, these rings are engineered to meet the demands of high-performance driving.
The heat-treated cast iron construction ensures superior strength, while the advanced metallurgy enhances thermal stability, reducing the risk of brake fade even in the most challenging conditions. DBA’s 5000 Series direct replacement rotors are offered in two options: complete assemblies, where the hat and rings are bolted together for straightforward replacement, or as individual replacement parts, allowing for the replacement of hats or rings as needed.
The option to replace only the cast iron rotor rings, while keeping their previously used aluminium hats is not only cost effective for those that are hard on brakes, but it allows for easy replacement of DBA hats or rings. We recommend that aluminium hats should always be thoroughly inspected for damage and wear when only replacing the 5000 Series rings, along with the use of DBA spec bolts and nuts.
When tightening the NAS nut and bolt assembly a 13 Nm or 9.6 ft lb of torque is recommended.
