Description

The PBS Pro Comp E2 compound is developed for drivers and teams who require a more aggressive endurance brake pad without sacrificing consistency or control. Positioned within the PBS endurance range as the higher-friction counterpart to the E1, the E2 delivers stronger bite, increased torque, and exceptional thermal stability, making it ideal for heavier race cars, high-grip tyre setups, and demanding long-distance competition.

Constructed from an advanced high-metallic motorsport compound, the Pro Comp E2 operates effectively across an extensive 200–850 °C temperature range, maintaining stable friction characteristics under repeated heavy braking. With a friction coefficient of approximately 0.45–0.50μ, it provides noticeably stronger stopping power and sharper response while still retaining the progressive modulation PBS compounds are known for.

Despite its increased performance level, the E2 remains exceptionally manageable over long stints. The compound is engineered to resist fade during extended high-temperature operation while delivering a firm, confidence-inspiring pedal feel from the opening lap to the checkered flag. Its low compressibility and stable torque curve allow drivers to brake consistently and precisely, reducing fatigue and improving confidence during endurance events.

The Pro Comp E2 also balances performance with durability, offering excellent pad life and rotor compatibility for endurance racing environments where reliability is critical. Whether used in GT cars, touring cars, TCR platforms, or dedicated endurance builds, the E2 provides the stopping power and consistency needed to stay competitive over extended race distances.
