Volkswagen Scirocco Mk3 Brake System

The Scirocco Mk3 coupé comes with the 1.4 turbo, 2.0 turbo, 2.0 diesel and R engines here, and the R stands apart. Its front discs are 345 mm and its rears 310 mm, against 288 or 312 mm fronts and 253 to 272 mm rears on the other engines. Match the disc to the engine before looking at faces.

Pads come for both axles. EBC Ultimax and Redstuff, Hawk PC and DBA Street Performance are the everyday choices. Yellowstuff and DBA Xtreme Performance count as sport pads, and race compounds include Hawk ER-1 and Pagid RSL 29.

Discs range from plain and slotted to dimpled and drilled faces across EBC and DBA, including DBA En-Shield and XD discs, and PBS and Hawk add High Carbon and Talon versions. At the rear, both solid and vented discs appear, and EBC has more than one braided line set for the car.
