Nissan Skyline R33 Brake System

Each R33 brake listing is matched to an engine, and the discs show why. The 2.0 non-turbo models take 256 or 280 mm front discs, and every non-turbo car, the GTS 2.5 included, a solid 266 mm rear. The GTS-t has 296 mm fronts and 295 to 297 mm rears, the GT-R 324 mm fronts and 300 mm rears.

Pads divide the same way. EBC alone covers the non-turbo cars, from Ultimax and Greenstuff 2000 to Redstuff and Yellowstuff, while the GTS-t and GT-R have every grade. Hawk quotes working ranges for most compounds, 37 to 370 °C for HPS and 205 to 870 °C for DTC-70. Ferodo’s GT-R pads fit either axle.

EBC lists each size as a plain disc and, the solid rear apart, as USR slotted and GD dimpled-and-slotted discs; DBA adds bi-slotted 4000 Series T3 discs for the turbo cars. For the GT-R there are also Girodisc two-piece floating discs, left and right for both axles, Girodisc titanium backing plates and EBC braided lines.
