MINI R56 (2005–2016)

Ultra Racing lists a wide set of Cooper S R56 braces, from a front strut bar to a rear torsion bar, lower braces, side bars and a cabin bar. Brakes, however, are still the largest part of the MINI R56 listing. EBC leads the pads, with Hawk, Ferodo, Pagid and PBS, and sport compounds are the most common; EBC discs, solid and vented, complete the brake range. Fresh fluid and a suitable pad come first, and tyres and alignment second, from a tyre fitter. For the suspension, KW and ST coilovers lead, with BC Racing, AP, Eibach and H&R, and Bilstein offers B4, B6 and B8 dampers in equal numbers. The body covered is the hatchback, built from 2005 to 2016.
