QSP Gauge Mounting Accessories

QSP’s gauge mounting accessories are fittings that put a sensor where a gauge needs it. Most are hose T-adapters: short aluminium tubes that sit in a coolant or oil hose, with a threaded boss for a temperature or pressure sender. They are listed by hose size, from 26 mm to 38 mm, and by sender thread, M14 x 1.5 or 1/8 NPT, in black or silver.

To choose one, take the bore of the hose you will cut into, which should match the size in the title, and check the thread on the sender you plan to use. Fit the adapter in a straight section of hose where the sender will sit in the flow of coolant, not in an air pocket at a high point. Secure both ends with clamps.

The other items are aluminium tube in 7.94 mm, 9.5 mm, 12.7 mm and 15.9 mm diameters, 5/16 to 5/8 inch, listed in 2-metre and 4-metre lengths. The tube is for hard lines such as a pressure feed to a gauge or a fuel or oil run along the chassis.

Once a sender is fitted in a coolant hose, refill and bleed the cooling system to remove trapped air.
