QSP AN Swivel Adapters

QSP’s swivel adapters change the direction of an AN line at a fitting. Because the swivel end turns, they can be tightened and then rotated to point the line where it needs to go. They are aluminium, in blue or black, and run from AN3 to AN16.

Female swivel adapters and female-to-male adapters are listed at 45 and 90 degrees. The female-to-male versions have a male AN thread at one end, so a hose end can be fitted to them and the corner is turned right at the port. Rotatable T-adapters split a line in two, with the branch at right angles to the run, and loose aluminium swivel nuts are listed in each size as spares.

Choose the AN size to match the line, then the angle that clears whatever surrounds the port. Tighten swivel joints firmly but not hard: the seal is made on the 37-degree flare, and overtightening an aluminium flare damages it.

AN threads are standardised, so these adapters mate with any AN fitting of the same size, whatever its maker, which makes them useful for joining parts from different ranges.
