JE
JE Pistons was founded in 1947 by William “Bill” Jahns Jr. as Jahns’ Racing Pistons and is headquartered in Mentor, Ohio. Its range here is forged pistons and the parts that go with them: piston kits, ring sets, gudgeon pins and pin locks. Piston listings give the bore, oversize and compression ratio, and some carry JE’s series names, such as the 51, 93, 95 and Ultra Series.
The gudgeon pins are a notable part of the range. They are listed by diameter, length and wall thickness, with straight or tapered walls, in 5115 case-hardened or 9310 alloy steel, and a few with a DLC coating.
A few JE listings are linked to cars, mainly Subaru Impreza, Nissan Silvia and Honda Civic models. The rest are listed by engine, bore and compression ratio, which are the details to check against your build.
Of the piston ranges here, JE goes furthest on pins and ring packs, which suits engine builders who source those small parts separately from the pistons.
