Hardrace Control Arm Bushings

    23 products

Hardrace’s control arm bushings come in two constructions. Pillow-ball bushings use a spherical bearing in a plastic liner, sealed by a dust boot, and locate the arm with almost no give. Hardened rubber bushings keep a rubber element in a firmer, crack-resistant compound, and Hardrace notes that they reduce vibration and need no regular greasing.

Each bushing is listed for one position, most often the front lower arm, with others for the front upper arm, the tension rod and the rear lower and upper arms. Some front lower arms use two different bushes, a front and a rear one, and a compliance bush is listed separately where the car has one.

The fitment data covers Honda, Mitsubishi and Toyota most often, with BMW, Lotus, Infiniti, Subaru, Lexus, Mazda and Mercedes-Benz also listed.

Pillow balls pass more road noise and vibration into the car, which suits a track car more than a daily driver; hardened rubber is the middle ground. Bushings are pressed in and out of the arm, so allow for a press or a workshop to do it. Tighten the arm’s bolts with the car at ride height, and book an alignment afterwards.
