EBC Brake Pads

    4,822 products

EBC’s brake pads are sold one axle at a time, as a set for the two front or the two rear calipers. The product data grades every line on one scale: OE-type, street, sport and race. The right step depends less on the car than on how it is driven.

For a car that only sees the road, Ultimax is the like-for-like replacement, an organic compound. Greenstuff 2000 and Greenstuff 6000 stay organic at the street step, and Redstuff brings a ceramic compound to it. Yellowstuff, Bluestuff NDX and Bluestuff B move up to para-aramid sport pads for fast road use and track days, while RP-X, RP-1 and the semi-metallic Orangestuff are graded race. Several lines also show in the part number: C for Redstuff, R for Yellowstuff, NDX for Bluestuff NDX and RPX for RP-X.

BMW, Ford, Audi and Mercedes-Benz have the most pad listings, then Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda and Porsche, and American makes such as Chevrolet, Chrysler and Cadillac are well covered.

Race compounds need heat before they work properly, so they suit a car used mainly on circuit. With any change of pad, check the discs against their minimum thickness and renew the brake fluid.
