Athena

Athena was founded in 1973 by Giovanni Mancassola in Bagnolo, Italy, and its range here is cylinder head gaskets. Two constructions are listed: multi-layer steel (MLS), which makes up most of the range, and Cut Ring gaskets.

Each gasket is listed by bore diameter and compressed thickness, both given in the title, and gaskets for V engines are sold as left or right. Several thicknesses are listed for many engines, so you can choose the one that suits a skimmed head or block rather than only the factory size.

Fitment is attached for a number of Honda, Subaru, Nissan, BMW and Toyota models, among them the Civic and CRX, Impreza and Legacy, and the BMW Z3. The rest is listed by engine code in the title.

In Gaskets & Seals, the other gasket brands offer MLS and MLX head gaskets and complete engine gasket sets. Athena is the brand with Cut Ring head gaskets as well as MLS, across a wide spread of bores and thicknesses.
