Springs give the Mk8 hatchback and estate a wide choice. Eibach lists Pro-Kit, the lower Sportline and the height-adjustable SportlinePLUS, H&R has lowering springs and height-adjustable sets, and Eibach ERL springs cover the original height. Eibach’s B12 kits add matching dampers to the Pro-Kit and Sportline springs.

Coilovers and several spring sets are split by details of the car: front-wheel drive or 4Motion, and a 50 or 55 mm front strut. H&R separates some sets by front axle load too. The GTI, GTD, GTE and R are also named in some titles, so match the model as well as the body.

KW runs from a fixed-damping V1 up to V3 and V4 Clubsport sets, and its DDC coilovers come as plug-and-play kits for adaptive-damper cars. H&R monotube sets, ST and Eibach Pro-Street-S complete the coilover choice. Eibach’s Pro-Tronic kit serves owners who plan to replace adaptive dampers with conventional ones.
