Renault Megane III Brake System

The Megane III page includes the hatchback, coupé, estate and convertible, but the Renault Sport models set the brake list apart. The RS 250 and 265 and the Trophy use 340 mm front discs, as does the GT coupé. Fronts are 280 to 296 mm on most other engines and 320 mm on the GT estate.

Several Pagid and Ferodo pads can be used on either axle. For road use, EBC’s Ultimax and Greenstuff 2000 sit with Hawk HPS 5.0 and Ferodo DS Performance, and the sport grades include Bluestuff NDX, Hawk HP Plus and Ferodo DS2500. For the circuit there are Ferodo DS UNO, Pagid RST 5 and RSL 29, Hawk DTC-80 and Girodisc GP pads.

An EBC SG2FC two-piece floating disc is listed for the 340 mm front brake, next to one-piece discs from DBA, EBC and PBS, and the rear discs are solid. Brake lines come from EBC and, for the RS 250 and 265, as a HEL set for all corners.
