BMW 1 Series F20 Suspension

The F20 is covered as the five-door hatchback, from the 114i and 114d to the M135i and M140i, with rear-wheel drive or xDrive. Many parts come in separate versions for rear-drive cars, xDrive cars and the M135i and M140i, and several also depend on whether the car has EDC adaptive dampers.

The standard ride is well covered. Eibach’s ERL springs are listed one axle at a time and sorted by wire diameter, and Bilstein has B3 springs and B6 dampers, the xDrive fronts handed left and right. To go lower, choose Eibach Pro-Kit or Sportline, ST Street Comfort or H&R springs, or a Bilstein or Eibach B12 kit. The H&R springs include a deeper version and a set for the M135i and M140i.

Every KW version, V1 to V3 and V2 Comfort, is listed with and without EDC, and DDC kits come in ECU and plug-and-play form. KW’s Clubsport sets, like ST’s XTA, include top mounts. BC Racing sorts its sets, the M135i ones included, by 3-bolt or 5-bolt top mounts.
