Audi A5 B9 Suspension

The A5 B9 page covers the cabriolet, coupé and Sportback, with S5 and RS5 versions alongside the front-wheel-drive and quattro cars, and much of its suspension is specific to one of those. The cabriolet, for instance, has its own Eibach springs and Bilstein dampers.

KW’s lowering springs show how finely the car is divided. Sets are named for the coupé or Sportback, for quattro or front drive, for cars with or without DRC adaptive dampers, and for a front axle load up to 1,180 kg. H&R adds springs for the S5 and RS5, plus height-adjustable sets, and Eibach lists Pro-Kit and Sportline springs.

Among coilovers, KW’s include the V3 and V4 as well as simpler versions, and ST’s X and XA come in versions for 48.5 and 53 mm front struts. Bilstein’s EVO T1 and an H&R monotube set are listed for the RS5, and matched B12 kits from both Bilstein and Eibach sit beside B4, B6 and B8 dampers.
